WHAT IS “GAJUMARU”?

The gajumaru tree, also known as the banyan tree, is a tree in Okinawa that is known for its strong support given from its roots and branches, as well as for its long lifespan.

We came to this show title to show appreciation for the support the branch has received in the past 25 years, and also to show our hope that our branch lasts for many more years, like the gajumaru tree.

The subtitle “四半世紀の支え” literally translates to “Quarter-century of support,” which we included as a way to relate our group to the tree.

TICKETS

Ticket prices are $20 pre-sale and $25 at the door.

There are several options to purchasing tickets:

  1. Stop by our practice in Gardena:
    1807 166th St, Gardena, CA 90247
    We practice most Sundays from 02:00 – 06:00 PM.
  2. Purchase them online at Brown Paper Tickets.
    Please receive them at the will-call table on the day of the show.
  3. Purchase through any of our current Ryukyukoku Matsuri Daiko Los Angeles members.
